Bible Lesson: Scriptures For Special Occasions: Needing Spiritual Fruits.

Bible Text:

John 15:1-27 KJV
1 I am the True Vine, and My father is The Husbandman.
2 Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through The Word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in The Vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am The Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples.
9 As The Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in My love.
10 If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My father's commandments, and abide in His love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy mighty remain in you, and that our joy might be full.
12 This is My commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are My friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of The Father in My name, He may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember The Word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for My name's sake, because they know not Him that sent Me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 He that hateh Me hateth My Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both Me and My Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that The Word might be fulfilled that is written in their Law, They hated Me without a cause.
26 But when The Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from The Father, even The Spirit Of Truth, which proceedeth from The Father, He shall testify of Me:
27 and ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with Me from the beginning.

Spiritual fruit comes from living faithfully to the commands of The Lord.

10 If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love;

Jesus is the vine, (our vine), and The Father is the Gardner.
The Father prunes and purges the branches so that we may grow stronger and produce more and more good fruit.

The Fruit Of The Spirit:

Galatians 5:22,23 KJV
22 But the fruit of The Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Ephesians 5:9 KJV
(For the fruit of The Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and Truth;)

God's will for us, our purpose in living, given here by our Lord...

Verse 16 “...I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain...”

Our Lord's command...

Verse 12 “This is My commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”

So the question is today, are our branches laden with the fruits of The Spirit?

The opposite of love is hate. Are there areas of hatred in our lives? The Father is desperately trying to prune these things from us!

A fruit of The Spirit is to be long suffering, that is patient, Are we known for our impatience, short tempers, or lack of bearing with others? The Gardner knows these poisons will only block the nutriment of love and kindness, meaning that there will be less and less fruit in our lives.

A dead branch of unbelief, and intemperance, is pruned by The Gardener, and is cast into the fire.

Prayer:

Psalm 1:1-6 KJV
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in The Law of The Lord; and in His Law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not whither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For The Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Psalm 91:1,2,4-7,10,11,14 KJV

2 I say of The Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.
4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His Truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

29 For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be The Firstborn among many brethren.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

12 And if you are not faithful with other people's money, why should you be trusted with money of your own?

Bible Lesson: Scriptures For Special Occasions: When In Need Of Assurance:

Bible Text:
Are you a Christian, bound for heaven? Many would reply, “Well, you can't know that until you die.”
This simply is not true!
We can't go by what men say, we must go by “Thus saith The Lord.”
Here is a compilation of scriptures, taken from The Word Of God, which unreservedly tell us, whether we are headed for heaven or not!

Scriptural Assurance Of Salvation:

Matthew 10:32 KJV
Everyone who acknowledges Me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven.

Mark 16:16 KJV
He that believeth and is baptized (Public confession of faith) shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 1;12,13 KJV
12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:15,36 KJV
15 That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal Life.
36 He that believeth on The Son hath everlasting Life: and he that believeth not The Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 5:24 KJV
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting Life, and shall not come unto condemnation; but is passed from death unto Life.

John 6:37,40,47 KJV
37 “...him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.”
40 And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth The Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting Life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting Life.

John 10:27,28 KJV
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:
28 And I give unto them eternal Life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.

John 11:25 KJV
Jesus said unto her, I am The Resurrection, and The Life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 12:46 KJV
I am come a Light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness.

John 20;31 KJV
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is The Christ, The Son Of God: and that believeing ye might have Life through His name.

Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of The Lord shall be saved.”

Acts 10:43 NLT
He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in Him will have their sins forgiven through His name.

Acts 13:38,39 NLT
38 Brothers, listen! In this Man Jesus there is forgiveness for our sins.
39 Everyone who believes in Him is freed from all guilt and declared right with God-Something the Jewish law could never do.

Acts 16:30,31 KJV
30 "...Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Romans 1:16 KJV
For I am not ashamed of The Gospel Of Christ: for it is The Power Of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 8:1 KJV
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after The Spirit.

Romans 10:9, 10 KJV
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation.

II Timothy 3:15 KJV
And that from a child thou hast known The Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

I John 5:1,11-13 KJV
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is The Christ has become a child of God..."
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us Eternal Life, and this Life is in His Son.
12 He that hath The Son hath Life; and he that hath not The Son Of God hath not Life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of The Son Of God; that ye may know that ye have Eternal Life, and that ye may believe on the name of The Son Of God.

How absolutely clear, when one believes that Jesus came into the world to take our judgment for sin, and receives Him into their heart as their Savior, they are a child of God.

II Corinthians 5:21 NLT
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son, is our “pardon from judgment”, if we refuse Him, we refuse the one and only pardon for judgment.

Psalm 86:5 KJV
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Isaiah 45:21,22,25 KJV
21 "...there is no God else beside Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside Me.
22 Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
25 I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Isaiah 55:6 KJV
Seek ye The Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near:

Prayer:

Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Acts 16:30,31 KJV
30 "...Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...”

Christian Responsibility:

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 KJV
6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be a frontlet between thine eyes.
9 and thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Deuteronomy 11:18-20 KJV
18 Therefore shall ye lay up these My Words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

Proverbs 22:4,6 KJV

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth The Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Matthew 5:13-16 KJV
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they man see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 10:42 KJV
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Matthew 25:35-40 KJV
35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink I was a stranger, and ye took Me in:
367 Naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And The King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.

Mark 16:15 KJV
And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach The Gospel to every creature.

Luke 3;10,11 KJV
10 And the people asked Him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that The Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Galatians 6:1-6 NLT
1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another Christian is overcome by some sin, you who re Godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.
2 Share each other's troubles and problems, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
3 If you think you are too important to help someone in need, you are only fooling yourself. You are really a nobody.
4 Be sure to do what you should, for then you will enjoy the personal satisfaction of having done your work well, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else.
5 For we are each responsible for our own conduct.
6 Those who are taught The Word Of God should help their teachers by paying them.

I Timothy 5;8 KJV
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Hebrew 6:10-12 KJV
10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises

James 2:15-17 KJV
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; not with standing ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

I John 3:16-18, 22,23 KJV
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
22 and whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
23 And this is His commandment, that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

Prayer:

Hebrews 13:20,21 KJV
20 Now The God Of Peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd Of The Sheep, through The Blood Of The Everlasting Covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
