He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as A Lamb to the slaughter, and as A Sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth.

Fulfilled:

Matthew 26:62,63 KJV A.D.33
62 And the high priest arose, and said unto Him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

Isaiah 42:2 KJV
He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.

Matthew 27:12-14 KJV
12 And when He was accused of the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.

14 And He answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

Mark 14:61 KJV
But He held His peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, and said unto Him, Art thou The Christ, The Son Of The Blessed?

Mark 15:5 KJV
But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

Luke 23:9 KJV
Then he questioned with Him in many words; but He answered him nothing.

John 19:9,10 KJV

10 Then saith Pilate unto Him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?

Acts 8:32 KJV (Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch)
The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as A Sheep to the slaughter; and like A Lamb dumb before His shearer, so opened He not His mouth:

Didn't They Crucify My Lord”

3 We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth.
4 And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong.
5 In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.
6 And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.
7 People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish,
8 but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God.
10 And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!
11 Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water?
12 Does a fig tree produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can’t draw fresh water from a salty spring.

James 4:11,12 NLT (Warning against Judging Others)
11 Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God’s law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you.
12 God alone, who gave the law, is The Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

I Peter 3:10 KJV
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

2 Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking The Truth from sincere hearts.

Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

Psalm 141:3,4 NLT
3 Take control of what I say, O Lord, and guard my lips.

Ralph/ Columbus, Georgia U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

Here is the simple answer.

John 8:12 KJV (God is Light.)
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am The Light Of The World: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have The Light Of Life.

I John 1:5 KJV
This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

I John 5:18 KJV
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

It is impossible, for light and darkness, to exist together!

Children Of Light:

Psalm 37:6 KJV
And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as The Light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Matthew 5:14 KJV
Ye are The Light Of The World. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Luke 11:36 KJV
If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

John 1:4-7 KJV
4 In Him (The Lord Jesus) was life; and the life was The Light of men.
5 And The Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of The Light, that all men through Him might believe.

John 3:20,21 KJV
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth The Light, neither cometh to The Light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth Truth cometh to The Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 9:5 KJV
As long as I am in the world, I am The Light Of The World.

John 12:35,36 KJV
35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is The Light with you. Walk while ye have The Light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36 While ye have Light, believe in The Light, that ye may be the children of Light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide Himself from them.

II Corinthians 4:6 KJV
For God, who commanded The Light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give The Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

I John 1:5-7 KJV
5 This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not The Truth:
7 But if we walk in The Light, as He is in The Light, we have fellowship one with another, and The Blood Of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Revelation 21:23 KJV
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and The Lamb is The Light thereof.

The Kingdom Of Darkness:

Psalm 143:3 KJV
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

Luke 22:53 NLT
Why didn’t you arrest Me in the Temple? I was there every day. But this is your moment, the time when the power of darkness reigns.”

John 12:46 KJV
I am come a Light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness.

II Corinthians 6:14 KJV
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath Light with darkness?

Ephesians 6:12 KJV
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

1 Thessalonians 5:4,5 KJV
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of Light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

James 4:7 KJV
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

I Peter 2:9 KJV
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous Light;

I John 4:4 KJV
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Prayer:

Isaiah 61:1 ISV
"The Spirit Of The LORD is upon Me, because The LORD has anointed Me; He has sent Me to bring Good News to the oppressed and to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners;

Bible Lesson: Messianic Prophecies, Fulfilled, In Jesus Christ. Falsely Accused.

Bible Text:

Prophecy:

Psalm 27:12 KJV (In the time of King David-1085-1015 B.C.)
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

Fulfilled:

Matthew 26:59-61 KJV A.D. 33
59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put Him to death;
60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

The Word:

Isaiah 53:3,7,8 NLT
3 He was despised and rejected— A Man Of Sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
7 He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet He never said a word. He was led like A Lamb to the slaughter.
And as A Sheep is silent before the shearers, He did not open His mouth.
8 Unjustly condemned, He was led away..."

Matthew 12:22-32 NLT (Jesus and the Prince of Demons)
22 Then a demon-possessed man, who was blind and couldn’t speak, was brought to Jesus. He healed the man so that he could both speak and see.
23 The crowd was amazed and asked, “Could it be that Jesus is The Son Of David, The Messiah?”
24 But when the Pharisees heard about the miracle, they said, “No wonder He can cast out demons. He gets His power from Satan, the prince of demons.”
25 Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart.
26 And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His own kingdom will not survive.
27 And if I am empowered by Satan, what about your own exorcists? They cast out demons, too, so they will condemn you for what you have said.
28 But if I am casting out demons by The Spirit Of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.
29 For who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger—someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.
30 “Anyone who isn’t with Me opposes Me, and anyone who isn’t working with Me is actually working against Me.
31 “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against The Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.
32 Anyone who speaks against The Son Of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against The Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

Matthew 26:63-66 KJV
63 But Jesus held His peace, And the high priest answered and said unto Him, I adjure thee by The Living God, that thou tell us whether thou be The Christ, The Son Of God.
64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see The Son Of Man sitting on The Right Hand Of Power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard His blasphemy.
66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

Matthew 27:11,12,29,30 KJV
11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked Him, saying, Art thou The King Of The Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.
12 And when He was accused of the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, and a reed in His right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him, and mocked Him, saying, Hail, King Of The Jews!
30 And they spit upon Him, and took the reed, and smote Him on the head.

Mark 3:23-30 KJV
23 And He called them unto Him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 But he that shall blaspheme against The Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Luke 5:21 KJV
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

Luke 11:14-23 NLT (Jesus and the Prince of Demons)
14 One day Jesus cast out a demon from a man who couldn’t speak, and when the demon was gone, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed,
15 but some of them said, “No wonder He can cast out demons. He gets His power from Satan, the prince of demons.”
16 Others, trying to test Jesus, demanded that He show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove His authority.
17 He knew their thoughts, so He said, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A family splintered by feuding will fall apart.
18 You say I am empowered by Satan. But if Satan is divided and fighting against himself, how can his kingdom survive?
19 And if I am empowered by Satan, what about your own exorcists? They cast out demons, too, so they will condemn you for what you have said.
20 But if I am casting out demons by The Power Of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.
21 For when a strong man is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe—
22 until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings.
23 “Anyone who isn’t with Me opposes Me, and anyone who isn’t working with Me is actually working against Me.

Luke 23:1-3 KJV
1 And the whole multitude of them arose, and led Him unto Pilate.
2 And they began to accuse Him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ A King.
3 And Pilate asked Him, saying, Art thou The King Of The Jews? And He answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

John 7:19,20 NLT
19 Moses gave you the law, but none of you obeys it! In fact, you are trying to kill Me.”
20 The crowd replied, “You’re demon possessed! Who’s trying to kill you?”

John 8:48 KJV
Then answered the Jews, and said unto Him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

John 10:20,33 KJV
20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye Him?
33 The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being A Man, makest thyself God.

Prayer:

Proverbs 25:18-28 NLT
18 Telling lies about others is as harmful as hitting them with an ax, wounding them with a sword, or shooting them with a sharp arrow.
19 Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.
20 Singing cheerful songs to a person with a heavy heart is like taking someone’s coat in cold weather or pouring vinegar in a wound.
21 If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink.
22 You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the Lord will reward you.
23 As surely as a north wind brings rain, so a gossiping tongue causes anger!
24 It’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.
25 Good news from far away is like cold water to the thirsty.
26 If the Godly give in to the wicked, it’s like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring.
27 It’s not good to eat too much honey, and it’s not good to seek honors for yourself.
28 A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.

Angels-When Were They Created?

Bible Questions Answered:
“God has millions of angels, but when were they created?...”
Terrance/ Richmond, California U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:
Our Lord is the author of creation.

John 1:3 KJV
All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians 1:15,16 NLT (Christ Is Supreme)
15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
16 for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him.

It appears that the angels, were created before creation, or at it's beginning.

Psalm 148:1-5 KJV
1 Praise ye The Lord. Praise ye The Lord from the heavens: praise Him in the heights.
2 Praise ye Him, all His angels: praise ye Him, all His hosts.
3 Praise ye Him, sun and moon: praise Him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise Him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of The Lord: for He commanded, and they were created.

Genesis 1:3 KJV
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Thomas Aquinas held to the belief that angels came into being at this time, as they were into existence before the stars that were made.

The Lord asked Job....

Job 38:4,7 KJV
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God (Angels) shouted for joy?

The Sons Of God:

Job 1:6 AMPC
Now there was a day when the sons (the angels) of God came to present themselves before The Lord, and Satan (the adversary and accuser) also came among them.

Job 2:1 AMPC
Again there was a day when the sons of God [the angels] came to present themselves before The Lord, and Satan (the adversary and the accuser) came also among them to present himself before The Lord.

What a sight that must have been when countless angels shouted for joy and sang praises to The Lord for the creation they were witnessing!

Can that story be topped? Yes, for all of the redeemed, will one day be witness to a new creation!

Isaiah 65:17 KJV
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

II Peter 3:12,13 KJV
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 21:1 KJV
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God (Angels) shouted for joy?”

Will there be singing, will there be shouting on that day...Yes!

Prayer:

Psalm 33:1,21 KJV
1 Rejoice in The Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.

Psalm 66:1,2,4 KJV
1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
2 Sing forth the honour of His name: make His praise glorious.
4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

Psalm 96:1,2 KJV
1 O sing unto The Lord a new song: sing unto The Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing unto the Lord, bless his name..."

Psalm 100:1 KJV
Make a joyful noise unto The Lord, all ye lands.

Psalm 105:3 KJV
Glory ye in His holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek The Lord.

“...a couple of my friends say this teacher wasn't much good, I was taught if you can't say anything good about someone, don't say anything...”
Brenda/ Rockingham, North Carolina U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

Criticism, The Word:

I Samuel 1:6-10 NLT (Read the whole story I Samuel 1:1-28)
(Hannah was not stopped by unkind criticism)
6 So Peninnah would taunt Hannah and make fun of her because The Lord had kept her from having children.
7 Year after year it was the same—Peninnah would taunt Hannah as they went to the Tabernacle. Each time, Hannah would be reduced to tears and would not even eat.
8 “Why are you crying, Hannah?” Elkanah would ask. “Why aren’t you eating? Why be downhearted just because you have no children? You have me—isn’t that better than having ten sons?”

(Hannah’s Prayer for a Son)

9 Once after a sacrificial meal at Shiloh, Hannah got up and went to pray. Eli the priest was sitting at his customary place beside the entrance of the Tabernacle.
10 Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to The Lord.

Psalm 141:5 NLT
Let the Godly strike me! It will be a kindness! If they correct me, it is soothing medicine. Don’t let me refuse it.

Proverbs 9:7-9 NLT
7 Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt.
8 So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you.
But correct the wise, and they will love you.
9 Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more.

Jeremiah 20:1-3 NLT (Jeremiah and Pashhur)
20 Now Pashhur son of Immer, the priest in charge of the Temple of The Lord, heard what Jeremiah was prophesying.
2 So he arrested Jeremiah the prophet and had him whipped and put in stocks at the Benjamin Gate of The Lord’s Temple.
3 The next day, when Pashhur finally released him, Jeremiah said, “Pashhur, The Lord has changed your name. From now on you are to be called ‘The Man Who Lives in Terror.’

Jeremiah 28:8-17 NLT (Jeremiah Condemns Hananiah/Truth Prevails)
8 The ancient prophets who preceded you and me spoke against many nations, always warning of war, disaster, and disease.
9 So a prophet who predicts peace must show he is right. Only when his predictions come true can we know that he is really from The Lord.”
10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke off Jeremiah’s neck and broke it in pieces.
11 And Hananiah said again to the crowd that had gathered, “This is what The Lord says: ‘Just as this yoke has been broken, within two years I will break the yoke of oppression from all the nations now subject to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.’” With that, Jeremiah left the Temple area.
12 Soon after this confrontation with Hananiah, The Lord gave this message to Jeremiah:
13 “Go and tell Hananiah, ‘This is what The Lord says: You have broken a wooden yoke, but you have replaced it with a yoke of iron.
14 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies, The God Of Israel, says: I have put a yoke of iron on the necks of all these nations, forcing them into slavery under King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. I have put everything, even the wild animals, under his control.’”
15 Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, but the people believe your lies.
16 Therefore, this is what The Lord says: ‘You must die. Your life will end this very year because you have rebelled against The Lord.’”
17 Two months later the prophet Hananiah died.

Daniel 6:4,5 NLT
4 Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy.
5 So they concluded, “Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion.”

Matthew 7:1-6 NLT (Do Not Judge Others)
7 “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.
2 For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.
3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?
4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?
5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.
6 “Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.

Luke 17:1-4 NLT ( Forgiveness and Faith)
17 One day Jesus said to His disciples, “There will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting!
2 It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.
3 So watch yourselves! “If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive.
4 Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.”

Galatians 5:14,15 NLT
14 For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
15 But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.

I Peter 3:13-18 NLT (Suffering for Doing Good)
13 Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.
17 Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong!
18 Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but He was raised to life in The Spirit.

Bible Lesson: Messianic Prophecies, Fulfilled, In Jesus Christ. Betrayal Money Buys Potter's Field.

Bible Text:

Prophecy:

Zechariah 11:12,13 KJV B.C.487 (See also Jeremiah 32:6-15)
12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
13 And The Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of The Lord.

Fulfilled:

Matthew 27:6-10 KJV A.D. 33
6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.
8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah (Jeremiah 32:6-15/ Zechariah 11:12,13) the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
10 And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

The Word:

Jeremiah 32:6-15 KJV
6 And Jeremiah said, The Word Of the Lord came unto me, saying,
7 Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.
8 So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to The Word Of The Lord, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was The Word Of The Lord.
9 And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
10 And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.
11 So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:
12 And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.
13 And I charged Baruch before them, saying,
14 Thus saith The Lord Of Hosts, The God Of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.
15 For thus saith The Lord Of Hosts, The God Of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

Matthew 26:24 KJV
The Son Of Man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom The Son Of Man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Almost Persuaded

“Almost persuaded” now to believe;
“Almost persuaded” Christ to receive;
Seems now some soul to say,
“Go, Spirit, go Thy way,
Some more convenient day
On Thee I’ll call.”

“Almost persuaded,” come, come today;
“Almost persuaded,” turn not away;
Jesus invites you here,
Angels are ling’ring near,
Prayers rise from hearts so dear;
O wand’rer, come!

“Almost persuaded,” harvest is past!
“Almost persuaded,” doom comes at last!
“Almost” cannot avail;
“Almost” is but to fail!
Sad, sad, that bitter wail—
“Almost,” but lost!
